In the spirit of FCP’s past “Target Funding” initiatives and informed by regular and ongoing interaction with nonprofits serving Bucks County, Pa., this “Rapid Response” approach aims to mitigate funding cuts and/or significant reimbursement delays at the federal and state levels. This grant is available until June 30, 2026, and may be renewed in the future at the discretion of FCP’s Board of Directors.
Target Funding-Rapid Response Grants
Grant Description
Eligibility:
- All nonprofits that have received a minimum of two (2) grants from FCP can submit a one-time application for up to $15,000 in grant funding.
- Applicants must be in good standing with FCP, meaning all reporting requirements have been fulfilled, support the behavioral health and human service needs of children, young adults, and families in Bucks County, and be exempt under Section 501(c)(3), charitable organizations, as well as classified in Section 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code.
- Applicants must upload official correspondence from a federal and/or state agency documenting loss of funding or significant delay, minimum of six (6) months, in reimbursement from a governmental agency. For example, a nonprofit receives notification from the U.S. Department of Education informing the agency of a cancelled grant due to shifting priorities.
- Nonprofits accepting Rapid Response funding do so for the purpose of continuing program(s)/service(s) impacted by public funding cut(s)/reimbursement delay(s). For example, an organization has been waiting on its reimbursement requests for its adult literacy program for nearly a year and seeks grant funding to continue the program by paying the staff administering it.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until funds are depleted.
Following submission of the application, FCP may schedule a meeting to seek additional information. Further, GuideStar will verify the non-profit status of each applicant, and FCP will review recent independent audits, financial statements, and funding loss/delay documentation. This due-diligence review process follows the standards set by the Council on Foundations. Only complete applications, submitted by eligible nonprofits, will receive consideration. Please visit Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia and the Council on Foundations for tips on writing a successful grant proposal and navigating the due-diligence process.
