FCP Board Awards $80,000 in General Operating Support Grants to Local Nonprofits
Doylestown, PA (May 9, 2024) – Foundations Community Partnership’s (FCP) Board of Directors recently awarded $80,000 to four nonprofits as part of its annual General Operating Support grant cycle. These grants support nonprofits focused on the behavioral health and human service needs of children, young adults, and families in Bucks County, Pa.
The Board of Directors started targeted funding grants several years ago focused on autism and homelessness before starting to offer unrestricted operating support in 2021. “These grants are designed to help nonprofits address pressing needs, support entrepreneurial thinking, and increase flexibility,” said Tracy Pasternak Willis, FCP Board Chair. “Collectively, these organizations serve 61,221 Bucks County residents through their programs and services.”
FCP awarded General Operating Support Grants to:
- Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic ($25,000): to decrease the wait list accessing the clinic’s dental program, increasing telehealth options, hire a part-time social worker to address the social determinants of health, and further increase its reach and impact in the community.
- BARC Developmental Services ($15,000): to support the young adults with intellectual abilities and autism employed through its Vocational Services Department.
- The Council of Southeast Pennsylvania ($15,000): to enhance the measurement and evaluation of social determinants of health that have been impacted by addiction and invest in needed technology upgrades.
- YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties ($25,000): to further mental health components that are integrated into its Bucks County pathway, childcare, and summer camp programs that will benefit all including those who reside in economically and ethnically diverse communities.
