FCP Awards Scholarships to Bucks High School Students Amid Pandemic
Doylestown, PA (June 8, 2020) – During these trying times, it’s even more important to recognize and celebrate the achievements of Bucks County students. Following remote collaboration with each of the County’s 19 public high schools, Foundations Community Partnership is delighted to announce the 2020 Partnership in Education Scholarship awardees. Despite school closures, guidance counselors and school administrators from every public high school in Bucks County submitted nominations for their students that best demonstrated a commitment to community service, academic performance, and quality of character.
“We are gratified that our local high schools were all able to participate in our scholarship program, even though they are working remotely due to the pandemic,” says Ron Bernstein, founding executive director, Foundations Community Partnership. “Students who have served as community volunteers and leaders deserve to be recognized, encouraged to work toward positive change after high school graduation and awarded scholarship money to continue their great work.”
