Foundations Receives Award from Family Service Association of Bucks County
Doylestown, PA (November 19, 2013) – Foundations Community Partnership (FCP), a non-profit foundation supporting the behavioral health and human service needs of young people and their families in
Bucks County, was the recipient of the “Family Builder of the Year” award, presented by the Family Service Association of Bucks County. Ron Bernstein, executive director, accepted the award last week, which honored FCP for their efforts to support Bucks County non-profits serving the behavioral health and human service needs of children, young adults, and families.
“It is an honor to be recognized for our efforts to serve the community,” said Bernstein. “I applaud Family Service Association for their work over the past 60 years in meeting community needs and touching the lives of local families.”
Audrey J. Tucker, MSW, LSW, Chief Executive Officer, Family Service Association of Bucks County explained the ways FCP has supported her organization’s efforts to meet the needs of local families. Notably, FCP has offered grant funding to support Family Service Association’s AACES program for autistic young adults and Service Learning Center and has provided Family Service Association with a student intern from their Summer Youth Corps.
“Foundations Community Partnership takes an active role in understanding the needs of the community. Executive Director Ronald Bernstein and his team think outside the box and invest generously in solutions that meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors,” explains Audrey Tucker, Chief Executive Officer of Family Service Association of Bucks County.
Foundations Community Partnership is a philanthropic grant-making foundation supporting the behavioral health and human service needs of children and young adults in Bucks County. Foundations Community Partnership provides grants and technical assistance to non-profit organizations, awards scholarships to Bucks County high school seniors, subsidizes service learning internships for college students, underwrites community education programs and supports behavioral health education and research.
