FCP Donations Strengthen Local Hunger Relief Efforts
Doylestown, PA (December 4, 2025) – Despite the Pennsylvania budget impasse and federal lockdown being over, the need of food insecure families persists. Foundations Community Partnership’s (FCP) Board of Directors recently presented a $25,000 check to the Bucks County Opportunity Council (BCOC) and a $10,000 check to Doylestown FISH to help both organizations address food insecurity throughout Bucks County, Pa.

These donations directly support local hunger-relief efforts, providing nutritious food to thousands of residents facing rising costs and limited access to healthy meals. Food insecurity remains a significant challenge in the region, exacerbated by the months-long budget stalemate. “Addressing food insecurity is essential to building a healthier, more resilient community,” said Tracy Pasternak Willis, FCP’s Board Chair. “We are thankful to BCOC and Doylestown FISH for their urgent actions in helping families meet basic needs.”
FCP’s support helps BCOC distribute fresh and shelf-stable food, stock community pantries, and meet the needs of households with transportation barriers, while Doylestown FISH continues to distribute grocery store gift cards in partnership with the County of Bucks and the Central Bucks School District. “We are thankful for FCP’s support during this challenging time,” said Erin Lukoss, BCOC’s CEO and Executive Director. “As demand for food assistance continues to rise across Bucks County, this donation strengthens our ability to respond quickly and compassionately. It ensures that more families have reliable access to the healthy food they deserve.”
For more than 60 years, BCOC has served as Bucks County’s Community Action Agency, offering programs that promote economic self-sufficiency, housing stability, education, and food security. Doylestown FISH is an all-volunteer organization focused on providing services for unhoused and housing insecure individuals and families who live in the boundaries of the Central Bucks School District.
