Essential Topic Opens FCP’s Spring 2021 Behavioral Health Workshop Series
This Wednesday FCP welcomes Dr. Charles Jacob to present “Common Ethical Challenges for Psychotherapists: Applying Decision-Making Models to Case Examples.” The goal of this workshop is to demonstrate examples of common ethical concerns faced by practicing clinicians and the use of ethical decision-making models in providing resolution. Case examples will be provided that are relatable and accessible, followed by responses to these cases that meet the careful scrutiny required by the American Psychological Association’s code of ethics.
Workshop Format
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, FCP’s Professional Education Workshops will be offered in an online format, featuring a livestream Q&A with the presenter. Registrants will receive instructions on how to receive CE credits.

Workshop Objectives

- Discuss recent research related to the ethical decision-making of practicing clinicians
Charles J. Jacob, Ph.D., is a lecturer in the Counseling and Mental Health Services Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education and licensed as a counselor, psychologist, and marriage and family therapist. Dr. Jacob is also the Academic Director, Professional and School Counseling Programs, Department of Professional Psychology and Family Therapy at Seton Hall University.
