Coming December 2: Mandated Reporting of Child Abuse
Mandated reporters are of critical importance in the child abuse prevention effort. This training identifies the role and responsibility mandated reporters play in the prevention, protection, and intervention in cases of suspected of child abuse. Following the training, participants will have a deeper understanding of how to protect children from abuse. The training will explain signs, symptoms, and risk factors of abuse as well as what, how, and when to report suspected child abuse. Overall, the participant will learn their role as a mandated reporter.
Workshop Objectives
- At the end of this activity, the learner will be able to:
- List the roles and responsibilities of mandated reporters under Pennsylvania law
- Name the possible indicators of child abuse
- Explain how to make a report of suspected child abuse and neglect with confidence
