FCP Increases College Scholarship Awards to 19 Bucks County H.S. Seniors in 2016

Doylestown, PA – Foundations Community Partnership has increased the number of schools to which they award scholarships through their annual Partnership in Education program. Students from Bucks County Technical High School, Middle Bucks Institute of Technology and Upper Bucks County Technical School received grants this year, along with students from the 16 other public high schools Bucks County.
The Foundations Partnership in Education program recognizes the achievements of local Bucks County public high school seniors for their demonstrated community service, commitment to academic performance, and quality of character. Students are nominated to receive the award by their guidance counselor or a member of the school’s administration.

Many of the recipients of the Foundations Partnership in Education program are also being recognized as a part of their school’s commencement activities or other ceremonies to honor outstanding students. Proceeds of the Partnership in Education award may only be used for educational purposes, including payment of college tuition, books, and related expenses.
“Foundations’ Partnership in Education program supports high school students who are developing meaningful roles in the community and working toward positive change as they enter college,” says Bernstein. “Our scholarship recipients have been active in community service and we encourage them to continue their role in advocating for positive change.”
