Wednesday, November 4, Dr. Martin Franklin will present Treating OCD in Children and Adolescents: A Cognitive Behavioral Approach in FCP’s new Webinar format. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for pediatric obsessive-compulsive disorder has strong empirical support, yet poses unique challenges even to experienced therapists. Dr. Franklin will discuss the use of CBT techniques in clinical practice with children and adolescents with OCD, and will describe adaptations of CBT for use with related conditions as well.
At the end of this activity, the learner will be able to:
- Describe the nature and diagnosis of pediatric OCD
- Discuss the current empirical evidence on the treatment of pediatric OCD
- Summarize the rationale and clinical application of CBT of pediatric OCD
